Distributed fibre-optic sensing (DFOS) uses light pulses in optical fibres to measure strain, temperature or vibration continuously along the entire length of the fibre. It is ideal for monitoring large infrastructure assets such as tunnels, pipelines, embankments and bridges, where traditional point sensors would miss critical behaviour between measurement locations.

Timelines depend on model complexity. Most projects follow a pattern: 1 to 2 weeks for scoping and data review, 2 to 4 weeks for model development and calibration, and 1 to 2 weeks for reporting.
